Lume is paying to promote a cream tube shoppers cannot buy
A live Lume ad sends shoppers to Soft Powder Cream Tube Deodorant, but that product is sold out and the page offers no way to add it to cart. We found the same blocked purchase more than three hours apart. That is long enough for paid clicks to keep arriving at a dead end.
What we checked for you
We reviewed 100 current ads and followed the exact Soft Powder cream-tube ad to its product page. We loaded that page on desktop and mobile, checked its links and campaign details, tested the visible buying controls, watched the page load three times on mobile, and checked what happened when the browser tried to record the visit.
The ad inventory hit the 100-ad review limit, so this was not a claim that every live Lume ad was covered. Ninety-nine ads pointed to a separate Lume campaign host and were left unresolved rather than marked as healthy. The exact Soft Powder path below was the one paid path tested all the way to its available purchase state.

Where paid traffic is leaking
A live cream-tube ad leads to a product with no purchase route
What happens after the click

The live ad says "The tube creams are better," promotes a two-pack, and uses a "Shop Now" button. Its click goes straight to Soft Powder Cream Tube Deodorant.
Soft Powder is sold out. Single, 3-pack and 5-pack choices are disabled. So are the subscription and one-time purchase choices. "Notify Me" sits where the buying action should be, and there is no Add to Cart button.
We first captured this state at 5:01 UTC. A separate replay more than three hours later found the same product, the same sold-out state and the same missing purchase route. This was not a momentary page flicker during one load.
Why this matters: The ad creates buying intent for cream tubes and sends that intent to a page where the advertised product cannot enter the cart. The page does suggest $16 deodorant wipes lower down, but that is a different product. Shoppers who wanted the cream tube have to abandon the purchase or start their search again.
Change first: Pause this ad while Soft Powder is unavailable, or send it to an in-stock cream-tube option that matches the promise. If the ad stays live, replace the dead-end product page with a clear in-stock alternative before the click is bought.
What FunnelWatch should keep watching: Check this ad ID, its destination and the Soft Powder inventory state together. Alert as soon as a live ad points to a product with no Add to Cart route, and confirm that any replacement page still matches the cream-tube and two-pack promise.
Why this keeps costing you
This leak can stay invisible because the ad still loads, the product page still looks polished, and visit tracking still fires. None of those signals tells the media team that the shopper cannot buy the product being promoted.
Inventory changes. Ads keep running. Landing pages get edited. Bundles and prices move. A one-time audit only catches the overlap on that day. FunnelWatch should keep the ad, destination, stock state and next buying action under one watch so the campaign can be paused or redirected before more paid clicks hit the same dead end.
Start with this Soft Powder campaign: connect the live ad set to its inventory and purchase controls, then alert the owner the moment an advertised product loses its cart route again.
